The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 processor might just appear in the next Motorola 360 watch coming out. If the leaks coming from via 9to5Google is anything to write home about. Then we are due for about 4 new wear OS devices with at least one which looks to be spotting the 4100 wear OS Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. If this is true again then this device will be significantly better than the last integration of Moto 360 wear devices.
It has been two years since the last moto 360 device was released, it came with the then Snapdragon wear 3100 processor. Now that Qualcomm has released the new 4100 processor Motorola has decided to feature it in his next Moto 360. However, Motorola is no longer involved and the production or distribution of its smartwatch as they have licensed it to a company called eBuyNow. If the specs are right then we can expect a 25% more battery life and two and a half times faster GPU performance from this chipset.
A production roadmap for Moto-branded hardware featured several devices in the works to release this year including a moto watch and imaging attached to it when zoomed in saw the words “Snapdragon Wear 4100.” This confirms the leaks as the 2019 Moto 360 was imprinted with the same words but with the “Wear 3100.”
From the image of the watch, we gather that there will be GPS, NFC, a water resistance rating of “3” or “5”. Also, there is a heart rate monitor and a wireless charging capability.
