On Wednesday Facebook apparently started a trend that they thought would be good for it. This trend is by releasing a quarterly report of what content was most viewed by people, particularly in the US. After releasing the last quarterly report which was received very well. Facebook started working on the next report of 2021 but this was finally scrapped as it would have reflected poorly on the company. This means that Facebook intentionally suppressed a report that would have made it look bad.
This was reported by the New York Times who obtained a copy of the report which stated that the most viewed link in the first quarter of 2021 is Covid 19 vaccine hesitancy. A content that promotes the notion that people should be hesitant to take the covid 19 vaccines. This is a total diversion from what Facebook has stood for about the vaccination.
The headline of this content was that “A ‘healthy’ doctor died two weeks after getting a COVID-19 vaccine; CDC is investigating why.” You can see why Facebook decided to scrap this report. Facebook has been one of those companies encouraging and making sure people come out and take a vaccine. They cannot be seen promoting content that speaks poorly about taking the coronavirus vaccine.
