According to Bloomberg a federal jury in Texas has found apple to be guilty of infringement on a technology patent related to digital rights management. This is because personalized media services ((PMS) have sued Apple over the infringement of their “Fairplay” Technology.

Now the Jury has found Apple guilty of patent infringement and has fined them a whopping sum of $308.5 million. This is coming just a few years after the companies first battle with Apple for infringing seven of their patent in 2015. But it was reversed and now the case has gone to appeal. However, Apple has confirmed that they are also going to appeal this fining once it is time. This is exactly what Apple told theverge  “Cases like this, brought by companies that don’t make or sell any products, stifle innovation and ultimately harm consumers.”
