An investor group is acquiring one of the most popular security software McAfee For a sum of about $14 billion. After the acquisition, the company is expected to be taken private by the Investor group that purchased it.
A similar report concerning the McAfee buyout was first reported last week by Bloomberg and has now been confirmed today by the company. The Investor group is expected to acquire all outstanding shares of McAfee common stock for $26.00 per share. Once the transaction is completed and McAfee is gone private it will continue to build on its success as a pure-play consumer cybersecurity leader.
